Broken Plan Living

Open plan living has been around for a while since Le Corbusier pioneered the revolution with the first use of reinforced concrete beams, but do we all really want to live like this all of the time? Are you fed up with stepping on Lego in the sitting room, or being embarrassed my the mess downstairs when giving a dinner party or worse still run yourself ragged tidying up before guests arrive? We may have the solution: broken plan living. This form of design allows for flexible rooms to be created with the use of sliding doors, or even better; pocket doors which slide visibly into walls and freestanding partition walls which create privacy. Children's play areas can be hidden for the evening; dinner parties given with the hosts looking serene and any normal family debris hidden behind doors. Broken plan living = flexible open plan living.
